1. Vodafone Ghana Foundation Scholarship scheme


The VGFSS is a type of scholarships offered by the telecommunication network in Ghana. The scholarship is available for needy but brilliant students.


The Scholarship is opened to all Ghanaian students in accredited Public Tertiary Institutions in the country.


Eligibility


  • Must be a Ghanaian citizen
  • Applicant must demonstrate financial difficulties
  • Have gained admission to study any public university in Ghana
  • He/she must be brilliant

2. David Oyedepo Scholarship Foundation


This scholarship is awarded to qualified students who are indigenes and residents of African countries. The scholarship is designed for students pursuing their masters, undergraduate and secondary programs.


Eligibility


  • Applicant must be a citizen and permanent resident of any African country
  • He/She must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
  • Applicant must also be between the ages of 18 and 25 at the time of application
  • Must have a record of excellent academic performance at the secondary school level


3. MTN Ghana Foundation Scholarship


The scholarship is available for brilliant but needy students in Ghana. The scholarship is available for all first and continuing students in public tertiary institutions in Ghana.


Eligibility


  • To be eligible for MTN Ghana Foundation Scholarship, applicant 
  • Must be a Ghanaian
  • Must be a hard-working student with excellent academic record
  • Applicant must also submit a one-page motivation letter explaining why MTN foundation should award him/her the scholarship.
  • Continuing students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0


4. Kingdom Books and Bursary Scheme

 

This scholarship is available for brilliant but needy KNUST students in Ghana. The bursay is applicable to fifty needy students. The scholarship is available for academic excellence students.


Requirements


  • Applicant must be a resident of Ghana
  • Applicant must not be a beneficiary of any form of financial assistance or scholarship at the time of application
  • All second to fourth years students in full time programmes of study must have at least second class at the time of application


5. Catholic University of the Sacred Heart Africa Scholars Program

The scholarship is designed for brilliant but needy students in Africa. The scholarship is available for postgraduate degree programs


Eligibility

  • Applicant must be an African to qualify for the Cattolica Africa Program
  • Proof of proficiency in English
  • Applicant must complete at least a Bachelor Degree from a recognized institution


6. Africa Initiative for Governance Scholarship at University of Oxford


The AIG scholarship was launched in 2017 to provide opportunity for brilliant students in West Africa. The scholarship is designed for students interested to pursue Master of Public Policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, university of Oxford.


7. Timothy Ansah Memorial Foundation Scholarship


The scholarship is designed for brilliant but needy students from Western Region of Ghana to enable them to pursue their University Education in KNUST.


Candidates are urged to send their applications ahead of time so it reaches them before the closing date since the scholarship does not have a n appointed time of closing.


Eligibility

  • Must be a resident of Ghana
  • Applicant must be 2nd year, 3rd year or 4th year undergraduate student
  • Applicant must not be a beneficiary of any form of financial assistance or scholarship at the time of application

Note: Most NGO scholarships in Ghana are offered by private institutions such as MTN Ghana Foundation. Most NGOs are non-profit organizations and therefore have limited grants for students. NGOs depend heavily on donations and charities from individuals to run their activities.
